Shalom!
Last months blog I wrote about the need for us as Messianic worshipers to be prepared to enter into the Lords presence. So in this blog entry I would like to handle what has been bothering me for a few months now. I believe it is very relevant in light of the season we are preparing to enter into. Yom Teruah, (Rosh Hashana), and Yom Kippur is a season of self-examination, Repentance and forgiveness. In this season we exam our hearts and ask the Lord to forgive us for those areas of our lives in which we fall short of God’s instructions. I ask then why is it so hard for us to forgive others for the things we feel they have done to us.
Matthew 5:23-24 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)23 So if you are offering your gift at the Temple altar and you remember there that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift where it is by the altar, and go, make peace with your brother. Then come back and offer your gift.
Matthew 6:12 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) 12 Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged us.
So as we can see through these 2 verses forgiveness and making things right in our relationships is important. So as we prepare to enter into His presence this Holyday season we should let go of the things that encumber us. Be set free from a unforgiving spirit and enter in to the presence of our Messiah and King!

As we enter into this special time of the year, this is a good reminder for us to get our lives right with God. If we can’t forgive others, how can we expect the forgiveness of God. Thank you for bringing this to our remembrance.
Humble Pie is a hard dose to swallow…I pray not just for me, but for all who are sensitive to feeling Adonai’s convictions on our hearts: to forgive. to repent, and ask what it is that HE wants…as we push toward the narrow gate.
